Pinterest Tastemaker Event in Paris
We were over the moon to be asked by Pinterest France to design, style and produce a conference in Paris to celebrate the theme of 'ideas'. The event was designed to inspire over one hundred bloggers specialising in fashion, home decor, lifestyle and food. Our main approach to the brief was to showcase trends in the virtual world of Pinterest and bring them into the real world - for one night only!
EVENT DESIGN & STYLING
We started off by developing ideas to decorate the venue to reflect the overall look and feel of Pinterest. We weaved in social media ‘sharing moments’ such as a Parisian flower market stall, a game of chance, we invited illustrator Jessie Kanelos Weiner to show off her 'creative mess' by recreating the desk in her studio and to do live illustrations throughout the event. We used our set design expertise to create a clothes line of envelopes filled with flowers (super trendy on Pinterest in 2017) as well as little goodies to give away such as temporary tattoos. We even created a real wall of ideas featuring trending decorations on Pinterest which were labelled with a pin to recreate in the real world what we can find on the world's biggest catalogue of ideas.
We designed a five senses cocktail bar featuring Pinterest's trending cocktail recipes and invited a candle design company Form & Flux to create scents to pair with the cocktails. We created theatre around the food by working with a culinary designer to create a dessert wall of trending ingredients and flavours. The wall was revealed at the end of the conference, which proved to be a hit with food bloggers and was the perfect photo opportunity!
We loved managing the creative direction of the event and worked with a super talented graphic design studio in London to create all of the stage branding, signage, invitations, cocktail menus with recipes and conference programmes.
We tracked and measured all the social shares during and after the event and analysed influencers engagement. There was a huge spike in activity on all social media channels and positive comments from bloggers on all aspects of the event and the decorations certainly created the 'wow' effect we were aiming for!
